Recently was created in Ottawa the latest creation of Aszure Barton, Jack in a Box, who will compose with her other piece Les Chambres des Jacques, the entire Soirée Aszure Barton offered by Les Ballets Jazz de Montréal [bjm_danse] next November.

« Dans ce spectacle riche qui dure 100 bonnes minutes, point d’ennui ! » (Mélissa Proulx, Voir Ottawa, June 9, 2008)

“In a physical sense, Barton puts every muscle into play and her choreography is exuberant, even when serious matters are being portrayed. Barton is sexy, cheeky and profound all at the same time.” (Paula Citron, The Globe and Mail, June 10, 2008)

Juliette Binoche and Akram Khan just finished a series of rehearsals in Paris and came to a deeper understanding of each other’s world and more inspired than ever to create their duo In-I. New photos of these rehearsals have been put on our website. Two new collaborators have been confirmed on the creative team: the dramaturge Guy Cools who is familiar with Akram Khan’s universe (zero degrees, Bahok) and the lighting designer Michael Hulls that we had a chance to see his fabulous work in Montreal with Russell Maliphant Company’s presentation (December 2006).
