“One of the new darlings of European dance” (Les Échos, France), the Ballet du Grand Théâtre de Genève is making its first appearance in Quebec. For this eagerly awaited production, the company led by Philippe Cohen will present a program that brings together three famous choreographers from the world of contemporary dance: Saburo Teshigawara (Karas), Andonis Foniadakis and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui. The 22 exceptional dancers from this Swiss troupe will perform Para-Dice (Teshigawara, 2002), Selon Désir (Foniadakis, 2004) and Loin (Cherkaoui, 2005). This perfect “trifecta” filled with virtuosity, charm and wit is “among the most beautiful evenings of ballet in recent memory” (Le Nouvel Observateur, Paris).
